As for some of your questions I won't use the porta potties. No way they are just too gross. I would rather pee outside somewhere. Might add that choice to the selections.
I do use outhouses but don't sit on the seat I hover and do my business.
The best outhouse I've ever used was built over a creek. I just peed in the water as it flowed by and all was gone even my TP.
