Bladder Capacity

I have no idea what my bladder capacity is--It is just not nearly enough---Iam always having to pee--way more than other guys--

Once I had to pee real bad where I could not hold it in another second. Actually it was starting to drip out and although my pants were not wet on the outside, my underwear was getting wet and I could feel more pee squeezing out thru my clenched muscles. My boyfriend felt so sorry for me and since we were in a car going through the Holland Tunnel to NYC there was literally no place to stop. We were stuck in the tunnel for a while as there was an accident ahead. I was crying because I knew I was about to pee myself. Suddenly, without even thinking, probably because the pee was about to come out, I opened the car door and squatted, pulling my shorts and underwear to the side. I just started feeling relief when the tunnel cop who rides on the sides on a scooter came by and on a megaphone said "get back in the car NOW". I did, having only let out half my pee. I must say it was so much harder to hold in the rest. I guess once you start, it's hard to stop or hold the rest. Now the outside of my shorts were wet and my boyfriend was yelling because he didn't want his car seats stained. He kept telling me to hold it. I managed, but I had pains in my bladder for 2 days after that. I had to hold that half a pee for an hour and 20 minutes before we got out of the tunnel and to a toilet.

Here's a few facts. According to studies conducted by urologists, guys tend to have larger, stronger sphincter muscles, which means they can hold more for longer. The actual size of the bladder varies from person to person, so some girls have larger bladders than guys, and some guys have larger bladders than girls. The girls, however, have less space for their bladders to expand because they've got a uterus basically sitting on top of the bladder, making it harder to hold it. And so, I've found that guys can hold it in longer than girls. It's not surprising to me, though-every day I see like 3 or 4 guys in the bathroom, but there are lots of girls lined up to use the toilets. (not just going to put on make-up or whatever, a lot of them obviously need to pee)

Men can hold there pee longer Men can hold there pee longer because men can have erections and when the penes is erect no pee can get through.

Girls- When you gotta pee, does crossing your legs really help? It seems like it would just put more pressure on your bladder. I don't get it.

Posted by Aquariussun on 2007-07-27 03:47:13 Holding my crotch never helped me, but I am female. Maybe with a male it would be different. If he squeezed his penis the pee could not get out,right? It would seem to be logical, but in reality, it doesn't work that way. It just makes the pressure much worse because at the point you are squeezing on the penis, the pee has already gone past the valve and into the pee tube and will swell up the penis.

I think girls had the better bladder control than boys. In school (6 – 10 years) have boys more risk to had wetting their pants. I had 7 wetting accidents in school and other boys too. The girls stayed dry. I think when boys need to pee, it’s urgent. By myself was the take off the pants too late.
