Female Bladder Capacity

Posted 2003-12-31 by Jackpudd 23 voters
I'm trying to determine female bladder capacity and other metrics such as distance. There seems to be a lot of women who can hold more than 1500ml and go over 10 feet. Please comment in the talk section on whether I need to put in additional categories.

Data not normally distributed
Calloway — 2004-02-27
Notice that the number women claiming a capcity of greater than 1.5 L is the largest single group -- greater than the 1 - 1.5 L groups. This data has a skewed. bimodal distribution (very non-biological) indicating that most of those who put down > 1.5L are either guessing (wrongly) about their bladder capacity or they are deliberatly over stating their true capacity. The average female bladder capacity is probably about 450 - 650 mL (i.e., 0.45 - 0.65L). The volumes of hundreds of "full" female bladders are recorded each day in ultrasound clinics. These full bladders rarely exceed 500 mL. (in case you are wondering - the vloume of urine in a bladder can be estimated very accurately by ultrasound and there are now hand-held ultrasound devices just for measuring urine volume in most urologist's offices) Also, a "study" was done analysing over 100 videos of female urinations recorded on a "toilet cam" (actually located in the bowel. Based on the analysis of the pee times and estimated pee flow rates it was calcuated that most women go to the john when they reach about 0.5 L or less of urine in their bladder(this was a bit kinky but interesting!). Just thought you might like to know that!
Don't You Mean ml?
Don't you mean milliliter instead of cc? And there are a few of us who can exceed 1500 ml by a good margin. Honestly.
